Behind the camera.

Imagery has always had an important place in my life.  Both moving and still.   From watching 8mm family films to flipping through the latest skateboard magazine, to seeing the classics along with the independents of cinema,  images have triggered something deep within me.    After years on the other side of the camera as a professional snowboarder,  I moved to Los Angeles to push my music desires and ended up having an epiphany,  which led to me studying acting for 5 years.  To learn as much as possible, from all angles,  I worked in the production world of commercials, music videos, and cinema for nearly a decade.  In 2008 I started a new business which put me on the road quite a bit, and I spent that time traveling the U.S. and the world, meeting people from all walks, seeing this spectacular earth,  witnessing incredible light, and gathering amazing and simple experiences while capturing many of them with my camera to share with whoever may be interested.

Over the last many years I have pushed my love of image making into the commercial realm. As a photographer I've covered subjects from fashion, travel, fine art, portraiture, runways, short films, promo videos, and much more. I was accepted and studied in the Mastered-Photography program with Nick Knight and most recently turned my focus into cinematography.   Again studying with some of the best people in that world through the Global Cinematography Institute.   Which put me where I am now, pushing myself into the arena of cinematography as a Director of Photography.   The last 7 years I have worked my tail off studying, working, experimenting, and learning as much as I can to become the best I can be. Bringing together my experience and knowledge I am focused on narrative storytelling while also shooting documentaries, music videos, commercials, and more.
